My favourite book is Bulgakov’s magnum opus “The Master and Margarita“.

My favourite colour is navy blue.

Most Saturday mornings I commit self-torture by joining parkrun. Most of the time hungover.

And none of it is really relevant to my love for wine. Or is it?

Oh I don’t really know. What I do know is that wine is a lot of fun and it does make you cheeky. However, it might also make you feel intimidated and overwhelmed.

Why would you trust me with wine?

The boring answer is that I completed WSET 2 (w Distinction) & WSET 3 (w Merit), so I actually had to sit down and learn tons of appellation rules & grape varieties by heart.

But the true answer is that I am also really passionate and love to learn beyond the books! That is why I’ve embarked on a journey of meeting wine shop owners, winemakers, spent 2 weeks in the cellar during the harvest in Stellenbosch, tasted hundreds of wines, and all that was driven by curiousity and deep love for the fermented grape juice.

I’m also not a serious person - and while I can go a bit jargon-y - I do love to keep wine simple. So if you like wine but are too scared to buy “the wrong“ bottle, I’m your gal! I love buying the wrong bottle lol.

Jokes aside though - I do love watching people take a leap and try to find their own taste by getting a bit adventurous!
